ROLE OF WINDOWS DEFENDER
The role of Windows Defender in protecting a Windows operating system.
- Windows Defender s now known as Microsoft Defender Antivirus
- This is security solution provided by Microsoft.
- It protects to the system from various types of malware including viruses, spyware, ransomware, rootkit, and other malicious software.
Role in Protecting the OS:
- Real time protection: Monitors the system continuously for malicious software and threats, blocks them directly.
- Threat Detection and Removal: Scans files, programs, and downloads to identify and eliminate known threats using signature-based and heuristic analysis.
- It is tightly integrated with WINDOWS
- Regularly receives updates for recogniz the new threats.
- Works with Windows Security Center to provides details of their security status.
This will be sufficient to understand the Role.
